It makes sense to create a hashtag for your wedding weekend. A wedding hashtag lets you see all of your guests’ photos in one spot. If you were a guest at a wedding, you may not know everyone there and may be curious about who & what the other guests are posting. A hashtag is necessary for everyone to be able to see the photos!
A great hashtag is one that’s unique to you and your relationship. Google “wedding hashtag generator” for some tools that can help you come up with a unique hashtag. But be sure to search Instagram for whatever you choose before your wedding day because it might already be taken (we recommend coming up with a few alternative options). Once you finally choose a hashtag, include it on your wedding website, save-the-date, and/or table numbers so everyone knows what it is.
Don’t forget to tell your photographers your hashtag! Sometimes the photographer/videographer will post photos of your wedding and will include your hashtag (if we know it!)
